Vlune is the sequel to the award winning parody Vlog series 'Vlogvember' created by and starring Adrian Bliss as a fictionalised version of himself. 'Vlogvember' took a satirical look at Youtube's ever growing daily vlogger stars, whom gain fame through sharing every day of their lives from the boring to extraordinary. Vlogmas is a yearly event in which many youtube personalities also attempt daily vlogging throughout December in the build up to Christmas.
'Vlogvember' instantly stood out by being created and shared in the "wrong month" and very quickly gained an audience of influential Youtubers that got the joke. As the series continued, Adrian took the opportunity to make more jabs at Youtube tropes building a strong community of followers that felt a special connection by being in on it, whilst some viewers were left bemused by his apparently poor video making skills. This created engaging dialogue amongst the community bringing more awareness to the series of an awkward boy trying to get famous by copying his idols.
In 'Vlune', Adrian attempts to take his YouTube vlogger stardom global and decides to do the classic American Road-Trip taking him from New York to Los Angeles in time for VidCon, the world’s biggest YouTube convention. In order to get the trip going, Adrian tricks his silent partner in crime Greg into thinking they are heading to Disneyland. Along the way, we meet a host of new characters and feature YouTube superstars including Tom ‘TomSka’ Ridgewell and Casey Neistat.
Vlogvember & Vlune are no ordinary youtube vlog series, normally reserved for challenges and pranks, It’s a comedy with a whole lot of heart.
The Narrative ran the Kickstarter to help fund the series, engaging fans with the project and building it's following before its eventual release.
